Jess and I

I ate lunch at that beautiful place again, Chapter One! This time it was for my family friend's birthday so it was a great chance to catch up with my bestie!

The starters were absolutely delectable! I ate Salad of Goats Curd, Marinated Beetroot and Pine Nuts whilst Jess ate the most creamy tasting cottage pie in a drink's glass!

Although the portions are really small, it's so rich that you get full up so easily! Main courses came and I was so impressed with my crispy pork belly with black pudding, celeriac remoulade and apple purée! Jess' was equally as nice - pan fried black bream with puy lentils and salsa verde. The rest of the table either joined in on the pork belly, or had this beautiful looking pithivier of guinea fowl & foie gras, buttered leeks, bok choy, pomme puree & guinea fowl jus. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to try any because everyone else was being greedy - however my mum, whose awfully picky when it comes to meat choices, assured me that guinea fowl "tastes just like chicken!"

For dessert, I stupidly chose to have cheese, I'm just such a sucker for a cheese board. Although it was great, the desserts tasted absolutely beautiful! The other dessert options on the table were milk chocolate and praline mousse with crunchy hazelnut cream and raspberry sorbet and blackberry cheesecake with blackberry sorbet!

I 100% recommend this place if you get the chance! We chose from the set money which was extremely well priced for a michelin star restaurant!
